1.0 Additional Costs Associated With Departure And Arrival From Auckland International Airport Compared To Rotorua Regional International Airport
Additional travel costs associated with departure and arrival from Auckland International Airport compared to Rotorua Regional International Airport based upon the assumptions detailed in Section 2.0 of this report are analysed in this section. (Please note that section 2 is in the PDF.)
A couple planning to undertake a round trip to Sydney could potentially save an estimated $477 if they travel via Rotorua Regional Airport and they live in Rotorua, around $490 if they live in Whakatane, $428 if they live in Taupo, $428 if they reside in Hawke's Bay and $351 if they are based in Tauranga City (refer to Figure 1).
